“ Oxtails. Wow. Just Wow. The oxtails here are the best I've ever had. Extremely meaty and not too much gravy to conceal the lack of taste, which is a problem for mediocre restaurants, but not here. The jerk chicken is crazy spicy and seasoned, but in a good way. Not for the faint of heart however. The rice is a dish by itself. The cabbage was ok. I've had better. The plantains are great too especially when drenched in some of the oxtail gravy. The knock down of the star is for their service. They have a sort of laissez-faire approach to running their business. They don't necessarily open according to the hours posted. And I attempted to scratch my oxtail itch recently, and they were closed in the middle of the day on a Friday. I did call ahead, and the number was not working. So I just went up there. My fault for assuming they would be open, I guess, considering the number was down. But a simple, going away message would have sufficed, as I heard the owners went on vacation. Wrote this review retrospectively as I wanted to give a shout out to some great food and make others aware as they don't have a lot of reviews. But I really hope they haven't closed and are just on vacation. ”

“ They serve the best oxtails I have ever had in my life. I eat here almost once a week it's so good. The cabbage is decent but sometimes the white rice can be hard. I usually get the $5 mini and the portion size is just right! Great value for your money. Also the plantains are really good and sweet. I had the fish one time and it was not good. I would highly recommend this place for the oxtails. ”
